Embrace Confucius wisdom to create harmonious relationships Retreat Instructor-25/May

Amanda began her career as a dentist in Taiwan, where she practiced for eight years before moving to New Zealand to study at the NZ Chinese Medicine Medical School. After graduating, she became a licensed acupuncturist, further deepening her understanding of holistic healing. Throughout her professional journey, Amanda embraced the philosophy that "prevention is better than cure," recognizing that true healing comes from achieving balance and well-being in mind, body, and spirit. This realization led her to explore the wisdom of ancient saints and buddhas, dedicating over 30 years to studying their teachings to promote human well-being.

In November 2024, Amanda and her Confucius study group were invited to the Waihi Vegetarian Food and Cultural Festival at Waihi Academy, where they shared insights into Confucius’s teachings and philosophy of life. Building on this experience, in February 2025, Amanda took a step further by inviting her team—Ruth, Lisa, Alice, and Dmitri—who are not only researchers and practitioners of Confucian philosophy but also dedicated spiritual seekers, to launch a community course at the Glen Eden Library in West Auckland. This six-session course explores Confucian wisdom as a path to enhancing mental well-being and fostering harmonious relationships. Participants were deeply inspired by Confucius’s teachings and gained practical strategies for improving interpersonal connections.

Amanda believes that Confucius’s teachings, which she regards as the "best medicine," provide profound insights into healing both the heart and interpersonal relationships. With her extensive experience and deep dedication, she hopes to inspire others to integrate Confucian wisdom into their lives, cultivating greater health, balance, and harmony.
